Pravin Jain
Pravin, having obtained an LLB (Hons) degree at Glasgow University, commenced his traineeship in 1997 and thereafter gained invaluable experience for a number of years working with Terry Ruddy in another Glasgow Law firm. Pravin along with Terry founded Jain, Neil & Ruddy in 2001. He is in the true sense a general practitioner who assists clients with all matters legal. There are very few areas of the law in which Pravin cannot assist/ advise. He has represented large commercial organisations in relation to land acquisition, disposal and leasing as well as representing their interests in litigation. His areas of work include Private Client services: residential and commercial conveyancing including leases; Powers of Attorney; Guardianships; Executries; Civil Court services: matrimonial disputes; debt recovery (both pursuer and defender); child law issues (including children referrals and contact disputes); personal injury compensation; medical and professional negligence; Criminal Law: road traffic offences; breach of the peace; assault.
Terence Ruddy
Terry graduated with an LLB(Hons) from Dundee University in 1993 and obtained his Diploma in Legal Practice there the following year. He completed his Traineeship and thereafter gained invaluable experience in all areas of the Law. Along with Pravin Jain, he founded Jain, Neil & Ruddy in 2001. Jain, Neil & Ruddy has now developed into a well-established and successful Glasgow Law Firm, which operates from two offices. Terry deals with a wide variety of matters including civil litigation, all aspects of Family Law, Criminal Law, Personal Injury work, debt matters, Immigration & Asylum, all Tribunal work and also provides a complete range of private client services including areas such as Wills, Executries, Guardianship, Powers of Attorney, matters of detailed business advice or matters of general advice to the individual. He provides a very practical approach to all of his clients to obtain the results they are looking for.
Scott Martin
Scott joined Jain, Neil & Ruddy as a trainee in 2006. He has remained with the firm ever since and is now a Partner with us. He is predominantly a court based practitioner with a particular interest in the field of Immigration & Asylum. In addition to Immigration & Asylum work, he also regularly assists clients with all other court matters including criminal cases and family law disputes. He also regularly helps his clients obtain the best compensation they can following any injury or accident. He has the ability of being able to provide a rounded approach to all legal issues his clients face.
Derek Beagrie
Derek graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2006 with an LLB (Hons) before going on to complete his Diploma in Legal Practice at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law in 2007. Derek trained with the McKinstry Company in Ayr during which time he was primarily involved in the areas of property and private client law. After completing his traineeship Derek broadened his experience by practicing in all areas of immigration, asylum and nationality law for several years before returning to Private Client work in 2014 when he joined the firm. Derek is based in our office at Sandyford Place where he deals primarily with residential and commercial conveyancing, wills and executries. In his spare time Derek enjoys Golfing, Cooking and Reading.
